Design Features
In new generation direct injection diesel engines the exhaust gas is conveyed into the carburetted fuel zone through the EGR tubes and EGR radiators. The EGR tubes connect the control valve of intake assembly to the exhaust pipe assembly. The re-circulation of exhaust gases through EGR radiators into the combustion chamber of engine, increases the efficiency and reduces the fuel consumption of the engine.
The EGR tubes have hydraulically formed corrugations of appropriate numbers and length integrated with plain tubes. Due to these bellow formations the EGR tubes can bend in desired angular configuration. These corrugations are excellent means for absorption of vibrations and compensation for thermal expansion.
EGR tubes are developed according to customer's requirements and applications.
